So let me get this out of the way right here: I didn’t get to the 100 pages. It started off so well with me writing 4 – 6 pages a day which was well above the 3.3/day page count to get to 100 pages. Then things went downhill very quickly. I continues to write but not quite as consistently or as prolifically as I figured I would. I will spare you the boring details but will say that this Script Frenzy ended up being the best thing to happen to this long-suffering script. Just trying to get through the page count forced me to plow through whole sections of the script that I had avoided writing because “I can’t figure out what happens.” Yeah, I know, that doesn’t quite make sense since a lot of times you only really figure out what happens when you write through the lack of information. I was able to finally get enough of a a sense of all the characters and the story to submit it to the Sundance Writers’ Lab, which in itself became another prompt to moving things forward. So I am just going to pretend that Script Frenzy is still going on and keep writing and hopefully by the end of this month I will have a some kind of working draft.

If you were able to get through Script Frenzy or submit to the Sundance Lab, please drop me a line to let me know how it went.
