Poet Sheila Maldonado Reads at El Museo del Barrio [5/21/2011]

This is part of a larger video I shot last weekend of poet Sheila Maldonado reading at El Museo del Barrio for the book signing/reading of the poetry anthology Me No Habla With Acento : Contemporary Latino Poetry.

It was the culmination of the series SPEAK UP! LEGENDARY VOICES which had several poets reading their work.    Wine and a book signing was afterward. There was some drama at the first reading Sheila was supposed to have done for this series last year when we were all evacuated because of a gas leak. It was rescheduled for March and that reading was great.
